About Us

Dr. Justin Diamond

DMD, BSc (Dent), BSc

Originally from Winnipeg, Manitoba, Dr. Diamond earned his Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD) and Bachelor of Science in Dentistry (BSc. Dent) from the University of Manitoba.

Dr. Diamond practiced general dentistry, seeing patients of all ages, in Winnipeg prior to moving to Vernon in 2021. Before dentistry, Dr. Diamond worked for 7 years as a Paramedic in central and southern Manitoba. During this time, he earned certifications in Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support and Advanced Trauma Life Support. His experience working in emergency situations gave him the opportunity to thoughtfully treat people in high pressure situations and gave him the skills to help

people who may feel fear, stress, and anxiety while visiting the dentist. Dr. Diamond believes it is a privilege to provide exceptional patient care with a calming approach to his practice.

Joining him here, in the Okanagan, are his wife, Kirsten and golden retriever, Atlas. They fully embrace the west-coast lifestyle by spending time on the lakes, backcountry camping, skiing, and enjoying everything B.C. has to offer.

Dr. Lise Kalinski

DMD

Born and raised in small town Saskatchewan, Lise graduated from the University of Saskatchewan in 1995 and has been part of the Vernon community ever since. Lise’s passion is on COMPLETE HEALTH and educating her clients on the mouth-body life connection and the full systemic role dentistry plays.

Lise is passionate about sleep breath disorders and facial growth and development and found out years ago that airway is key. “If we are not breathing properly in sleep and while awake, our bodies do not grow balanced and our overall health suffers for it.” Lise has made an enduring commitment to learning and growing.

When Lise isn’t at the clinic, she is exploring her love of art, tending to her flower gardens, practicing yoga, and all things health conscious. She is a beekeeper and honey maker, a huge fan of DIY crafts and loves spending quality time with her family and friends. Lise’s family life includes her two adult boys her husband of 30+ years.

Nikki

Registered Dental Hygienist

Originally from Chilliwack, Nikki found a home in dentistry and the Okanagan. Beginning her career in dentistry in 2005 as a dental assistant, Nikki returned to school and has been a practicing dental hygienist since 2012. In her spare time, you can find her outdoors hiking, skiing, biking or paddling around the lakes.

Michelle

Registered Dental Hygienist

Michelle graduated from Vancouver Community College in 2012 with a degree in dental hygiene and brings over 12 years of hygiene experience as well as 3 years of dental assisting experience. This makes Michelle quite knowledgeable in regards to dental procedures and tailors dental hygiene care to each individual. She keeps herself up-to-date with continuing education and is local anesthetic certified. In her spare time, she’s at home with her husband and 2 children. She enjoys most outdoor activities wakeboarding, paddle boarding, camping, fishing, hiking and more.

Samantha C.

Certified Dental Assistant

Samantha is a fun, kind, and incredibly athletic dental assistant who has been an invaluable part of the Aesthetic Dental team for over 8 years. Her infectious smile, genuine kindness, and down-to-earth personality make her one of the most beloved members of the office. Outside of work, Samantha is a force to be reckoned with—whether she’s hitting the gym, riding her dirt bike on the track, or snow biking through the winter months. Above all, her son, Davian, is her world, and she cherishes every moment spent with him. Samantha’s warmth, positivity, and caring nature shine through in everything she does, making every patient feel at ease and every team member feel supported.

Ashley

Certified Dental Assistant

Ashley joined the Aesthetic Dental team in October 2024, bringing with her a wealth of experience and a genuine passion for patient care. Originally from Abbotsford, she now calls Vernon home, where she lives with her two beloved dogs, Lenny and Sadie. Ashley graduated with honors from MTI College in 2013, earning her Certified Dental Assistant diploma. Her favorite part of the job is building connections with her patients and exchanging life stories in the treatment rooms, making every visit a personal and positive experience. Outside of work, Ashley is an avid sports enthusiast with a lifelong love of competitive athletics. Having started fastball at the age of 4, she went on to represent her high school in a baseball academy and earned an athletic scholarship to play fastball in Kansas. Whether on the field or in the office, Ashley brings energy, determination, and a winning attitude to everything she does.

Madyson

Administration

Madyson is a friendly and dedicated dental receptionist, originally from Vancouver Island, calling the Okanagan home since 2022. With a passion for providing excellent patient care, Madyson ensures a warm and welcoming atmosphere for everyone who walks through the door. Outside of work, she enjoys cooking up new recipes, reading, and spending time in the great outdoors, often camping and hunting with her fiancé. In the summer, you can catch her at the lake, soaking in the sunshine and enjoying the water. Whether at the office or in nature, Madyson brings a positive attitude, a love for adventure, and a commitment to making every patient’s experience seamless and enjoyable.

Marisol

Sterilization

Marisol is a dedicated sterilization tech and an aspiring certified dental assistant, currently working toward her certification while ensuring the office maintains the highest standards of cleanliness and safety. Born in Summerland with strong family ties to Mexico, Marisol speaks Spanish and feels a deep connection to her heritage. Inspired by her uncle, a dentist in Mexico City, she decided to pursue a career in dentistry. Outside of work and school, Marisol enjoys hiking, practicing yoga, and seeking out new adventures. Her quiet nature is complemented by a subtle sense of humor and a kind heart, making her a valued and supportive member of the team. Marisol’s passion for the dental field and her commitment to personal growth reflect her dedication to providing excellent care.

Atlas

D.O.G.

Atlas is our Director of Greetings here at the clinic, although he is happy to be able to perform most of his duties remotely, on the rare occasion you may be lucky enough to spot him behind the reception desk, diligently directing the front staff to smile a little more, and enjoy the therapeutic benefits of rubbing his tummy. Atlas is always happy to greet you with a tail-wag and a smile, and show-off his favourite toys.
